Earn Your Master of Philosophy Degree Along the Way. Earning your doctoral degree is the ultimate intellectual challenge. To signify how far you’ve come in your path to your PhD in Psychology, you will be eligible for a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree upon completion of certain program requirements, prior to completion of your dissertation.
We focus on developing critical conceptual skills and an in-depth understanding of the discipline of Psychology. The purpose of studying psychology is ultimately not only to gain insight into the fascinating field of human behaviour, but also to learn how to apply this knowledge in our personal lives and in various professional contexts.
PhD in Psychology. We offer PhD degree in Psychology in seven Areas of Specialization. Each Area of Specialization may have distinct application and graduation requirements. Because the graduate students are admitted to a Specialization, and transfers among programs are not permitted.
To meet these requirements, admitted students to the Clinical Psychology program must have either completed (a) previous coursework in both developmental and social psychology with a grade of B or better, or (b) achieved a score of 70th percentile or higher on the Psychology GRE Test.
A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD, Ph.D., or DPhil; Latin philosophiae doctor or doctor philosophiae) is the highest university degree that is conferred after a course of study by universities in most countries. PhDs are awarded for programs across the whole breadth of academic fields. As an earned research degree, those studying for a PhD are usually required to produce original research that.

Social Program PhD Requirements. The goal of the Social program is to prepare students to make significant empirical and theoretical contributions to social psychology. The program provides training leading to the PhD in Psychology and prepares students for research careers in academic and nonacademic settings.
